NetSky.d causes $58 million damages as turf war manifests
London, UK - 1 March 2004, 17:30 GMT - mi2g Intelligence Unit
preliminary data shows that NetSky.d has already caused $58.5 million in estimated
damages worldwide as rivalry between the NetSky and Bagle malware writer(s)
emerges. NetSky.d was released earlier today and whilst it has its own malicious
agenda, it also modifies registry keys to delete the "au.exe" file
used by two variants of the Bagle malware.
