London, UK - 17 December 2003, 12:30 GMT - Large scale "phishing" frauds involving banks, reputable online shopping portals and mass electronic payment and credit card handling systems have risen sharply in December in the run up to Christmas according to the mi2g Intelligence Unit. The trust of online shoppers and banking customers could be seriously undermined if this trend continues.
