Distributed Denial of Service attacks overwhelm networks
London, UK - 19 October 2003, 9:30 GMT - The largest internet service
providers (ISPs) in Australia and Canada have something in common. Both Telstra's
BigPond in Australia and Bell Sympatico in Canada have been unable to deliver
email to their customers reliably and within average expected time over the
past few weeks. Many small to medium size ISPs worldwide as well as AOL and
MSN also appear to have had similar problems within some parts of their network.
