Christmas Eve: The Blessing

Come away from the noise and activity of everyday life,
Pull down the blinds and know that this night is the longest night.
It is a time to reflect and be grateful for all gifts you have been given.
Sit down and light a candle,
in this place you will find tranquillity.
Peace will wash over you like a wave leaving you refreshed
And calm, thus allowing the love of your ancestors to cross
Thresholds to reach you.
They will remind you that love has no boundaries.
You will be able to release the burdens of the past,
To rejoice in the present, the ever new.
Nurture yourself and listen to the inner voice,
For it speaks wisely and deserves attention.
This is a magical time, for you are poised
Between the light and dark
A place of immense power and perfect balance,
use this power to bring positive change to the world,
Practise sacred acts of kindness and love
Remember that you walk upon holy ground.
Chant I am peace, I am love.
And then send this out to the world
Shower blessings on loved ones,
On those who are in darkness.
On Gaia and all sentient beings,
Remember as this night comes to a close
And you wait for the dawn,
That you are loved beyond measure,
So be it.

We have already had the pleasure of sending you our Season's Greetings along with our previous briefing, "Lunar Eclipse and Winter Solstice -- What does the Synchronicity Mean?" Laura Catt is the daughter of our long standing friend and distinguished member of ATCA, Charles Catt -- Chief Executive of Challenge Group -- in England. We first met Charles more than a decade ago at Lloyd's of London, the world's leading market for insurance and reinsurance, established in 1688. Lloyd's is where much of the super computer based asymmetric risk modelling was done by mi2g, the software firm I founded in 1995, and it is also where the idea of ATCA was born in 2001 to build a more wisdom based global economy. HQR followed in 2007 to seek a merger between science and spirituality based on the findings in high energy physics.

Laura Catt wrote "The Blessing" on the occasion of the 2010 Winter Solstice synchronised with the Lunar Eclipse. This is a once-in-372-years event. The last time this happened the year was 1638 and Lloyd's was still 50 years away from being born and Charles I was on the throne. We share Laura's poem with you, so that you may take some time out from the chaos around you, even for a few seconds to reflect on the subliminal message of Christmas Eve. The winter solstice points to the beginning of the new year steadily dawning upon us. Days are now slowly lengthening again and with that the opportunity for our joint renewal!.
